Your one year old's milestone session should be a direct reflection of their unique and budding personality. First birthday and cake smash sessions are fun, bubbly and full of excitement and pure joy! I love letting your little one explore and following them around with my camera capturing their every move from crawling, standing, clapping, laughing, walking and just being silly! What better way to highlight this important time in your little's life than through photography. KNG Photography is dedicated to creating a personalized and unforgettable session experience for you and your one year old that will leave you smiling for days!


First birthday and cake smash portrait sessions can take place indoors at your home or at a location of your choice in the Massachusetts or Rhode Island areas.  I have several milestone props that you can choose to incorporate that will help add a more personalized touch and highlight the one year milestone.   If you wish to incorporate a cake for a cake smash, I can provide a cake from a wonderful local baker I use (additional fee will apply) or you are welcome to bring your own cake from a bakery of your choosing.


Investment/Pricing

Full session includes 45 minutes at a location of your choice (travel fees apply if outside of 25 miles from Millville, MA), online client gallery, minimum of 50-75 fully edited images and print release

FAQ

01. How long does it take to get our photos delivered? And how many edited photos can we expect to receive?

For first birthday/cake smash portrait sessions, you will receive a minimum of 50-75 fully edited photos with sneak peeks delivered within 1 week from your session date. Your final photo album will be ready to view 2-3 weeks after your session date.

02. CAN WE HAVE OUR MASSACHUSETTS FIRST BIRTHDAY/CAKE SMASH SESSION OUTDOORS? IF SO, WHAT LOCATIONS DO YOU OFFER?

Yes, absolutely! I have several locations I use frequently for maternity photo sessions, some of which include River Bend Farms (Uxbridge, MA), Blackstone River Bike Path (Cumberland, RI), Blackstone River Greenway (Blackstone, MA), Borderland State Park (Easton, MA), Roger Williams Park (Providence, RI)  Lincoln Woods State Park (Lincoln, RI), Chase Farm (Lincoln, RI), Sudbury Grist Mill (Sudbury, MA), Moore State Park (Paxton, MA), Shaw Farm (Sutton, MA), and Horseneck Beach (Westport, MA) .


I can also travel to a location not on this list! I always love when clients suggest new locations, giving me more options for future portrait sessions! There is an additional fee of at least $50 to travel anywhere that is outside of 25 miles from Millville, MA.

 

03. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DRESS MY ONE YEAR OLD IN FOR OUR IN-HOME  OR OUTDOOR FIRST BIRTHDAY/CAKE SMASH PHOTO SESSION. DO YOU HELP US WITH OUTFITS?

 

What to dress your one year old in to best highlight this important milestone can feel overwhelming and stressful! Upon booking your session with me, you will be given access to a style guide that will help you pick outfits that best fit your comfort and style, but also align with my light, airy and true to color editing style.

04. Can other family members be included in the session?

I always encourage the whole family to join in on the session! Of course your one year old will be the focus of the session, but it is great to incorporate all members of the family as you celebrate this amazing milestone.

05. I DO NOT KNOW IF MY HOUSE IS NICE ENOUGH FOR AN IN-HOME MASSACHUSETTS FIRST BIRTHDAY/CAKE SMASH SESSION. SHOULD I GO WITH A STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHER INSTEAD?

As a family and milestone photographer in Central Massachusetts for the last 3 years, I can assure you that I have been inside many sizes and styles of homes. My goal for every single living situation is to photograph you and your family while showcasing the best features. For some, that’s amazing window light, for others it’s a feature wall in the nursery. Some homes have unique spaces like a shelf with beautiful plants or an area with amazing vases/bowls. No one’s whole home looks like a showpiece because it’s where you live! I have not entered a space that I feel didn't work or look great in photos. Upon booking your session, you will be given access to styling tips to help declutter your space and make a neutral background for your photos.

06. What if my budget is lower than what you charge?

Please still inquire! I try to accommodate all budgets to make sure families are able to get their memories captured. Custom quotes and session details can be made upon request.
